Summer Obsessions: W3ll People's Universalist Colorstick, Hypnotist Eye Liner and Vapour's Clarity Makeup Remover

W3LL PEOPLE UNIVERSALIST COLORSTICK
I love the look of a dewy cream blush in the warmer months.  I love the transparency and seeing the skin underneath, as opposed to a matte powder that cakes and covers.  I just think that a cream blush looks fresh when it's warm out.

One of the latest that I've tried has been W3ll People's Universalist Multi-Use Colorstick. The color I was given to try was 8, which is Dusty Rose.  The thing that I really loved about this colorstick was the fact that although many of these "multi-use" sticks claim to work all over the face, they don't really work on the lips.  W3ll People's actually does. I used it both on my cheeks and on my lips and it never looked dried out on my lips which is what I've found with many of these crossover products.  The consistency is a super-smooth - really smooth - cream that has a satiny texture when applied to the skin.  It's not shimmery at all, it just deposits a pretty color with a really soft finish.  I really recommend this if you're in the market for a pure cream blush that is also great on the lips (and I'm certain, eyes).  I'm also loving their new packaging.  $33
VAPOUR ORGANIC BEAUTY
CLARITY MAKEUP REMOVING CLEANSING OIL
Vapour had sent me Clarity, their makeup remover, a while back but since I had so many other removers open at the time, I hadn't had a chance to begin using it until a few weeks ago. Well, I love it.  Seriously. This is an excellent makeup remover. Now, I've only used it on my eyes, as that's usually where I normally use makeup remover, but I find it to be excellent.  It's called an oil, but I want to stress that there's nothing greasy about this.  It's not messy, but rather comes out like a gel/oil. Nothing runny or messy.  Not only does it really work, but it smells great, hydrates the skin and does not leave you greasy. This is definitely something that I would repurchase and that's saying a lot!  $32
W3LL PEOPLE'S
HYPNOTIST EYELINER IN BLACK VELVET
Looking for a gorgeous black liner with great ingredients that is easy to apply and smudges when you want it to?
I'm recommending Hypnotist Eyeliner from W3ll People.  This liner isn't to mushy or too hard...it really is just right.  I love lining the upper inner lash line and letting it get a little smokey looking on my lower lash as the day goes on.
At the time that I write this, it's sold out at Spirit Beauty Lounge...that's a really good sign!  $16.50

*I received all of these products to review.  All opinions are my own.  If I don't love something, I don't write about it.  I only write about the stuff I love!

Lina Hanson's Global Body Serum....Just Ahhh

LINA HANSON GLOBAL BODY SERUM

I was really excited to try Lina Hanson's new Global Body Serum as I had heard such great things about her face oil.

The first thing that came to mind when I applied her new Global Body Serum was, "Wow, this is decadent."   That was exactly what I thought.  My next thought was, "This should totally be a fragrance"  and my last thought was, "I wish I had a bigger bottle."

This oil absorbs really quick (a big plus for me because I have no patience after I get out of the shower), it smells wonderful (I keep trying to figure out what I'm smelling here...subtle vanilla, fresh shower...not sure) and incredible ingredients.  Some of the key ingredients are oils of Rice Bran, Apricot Kernel, Argan, Yuzu, Vanilla, Camellia See, Brazil Nut, Pumpkin See, Pink Grapefruit and Avocado.   It's all hand-blended, using only natural and organic ingredients.  There's no paragons, petrochemicals, artificial fragrance or silicone.

There's nothing greasy about this at all.  I think it might be the fastest absorbing body oil I've ever tried.   I also keep sniffing myself because it' so delicious.

The benefits of Global Body Serum:
  • Relieves dryness and improves skin elasticity
  • Rejuvenates skin
  • Non-greasy and quick-absorbing
  • Smells awesome (I added that one)

GIVING BACK
Global Body Serum is giving 15% of their proceeds from June through August to the International Rescue Committee.  Pretty generous, I think!

100 ml/3.4 fl oz $60

*I was generously given a sample of this to review.  All opinions are my own and I only recommend what I think ya'll will love!

Earth Tu Face Makes A Truly Remarkable Natural Eye Serum...I'm Hooked!

EARTH TU FACE

A line that I've just heard of and entirely love:  enter Earth Tu Face.

I was perusing Refinery 29 and saw a post they did on one of Earth Tu Face's products.  The brand's story, their look (simple and super modern) and purity really attracted me.

ETF STORY
The founders of Earth Tu Face are two herbalists from California, Sarah Buscho and Marina Storm.

Their products are:
  • 100% plant-based, food grade ingredients.
  • Organic beeswax
  • Organic, virgin cold-pressed oils
  • reusable, compostable and recyclable containers (loooove that!)
  • Organic and wildcrafted ingredients
  • Made in the USA (woo-hoo!)

EARTH TU FACE'S
ANTI-AGING & RESTORATIVE EYE/REPAIR SERUM

I began using this several weeks ago as I had just finished my favorite eye cream.  I had never used an oil in my eye area before so I was certain that it would mess with my makeup application, but how wrong was I?   I'm now hooked.  I took this with me on vacation and absolutely LOVED using it.  It goes on so easily, dries super fast, hydrates and is so pure, your eyes will look smooth and hydrated.  You can also use this all over the face, but I've only used it on the eyes, as it's so precious to me.

The ingredients are great...organic everything:  Olive Oil, Sea Buckthorn oil, Lavender, Chamomile, Rose Geranium, Ylang Ylang and Vitamin E.

Another great thing about it is how little you need of it.  Just a tiny drop on your index finger.
I'm so excited about this brand and am trying out their cleanser next.

Bonus:  They also have a button on their site that tells you how to reuse your empty packaging from them.

Please check out this brand.   Between their look, their products, the effectiveness of the products and what they're about, I know you're going to love it!  $56

Natural Lipstick I'm Crushing on This Summer by Ilia Beauty: Pink Kashmir and Call Me

LIPSTICK IN PINK KASHMIR

Okay, I'm seriously into pink.  Pink glosses and lipsticks look best on me because I'm fair with blue eyes and it just works.  As soon as something comes out and it looks like a wearable pink, I'm on it like a cockroach on a banana peel at midnight.

Enter Ilia Beauty's Pink Kashmir lipstick (I'm not too happy about the fact that it's a "Limited Edition" so I'm ignoring that fact).  I've been wearing this since I got it in the mail.  I was a little hesitant to order it at first as I thought it might be too lavender, but it's gorgeous.  If you love pink and you're not a shrinking violet, have at it, young lady, have at it.  $24

LIPSTICK CRAYON IN
CALL ME

The other color that I ordered was from their new Lip Crayon collection in Call Me (fourth color from the top). I loooove this as well.  How different are they? Hmmm...well, I would say that Call Me is more of a muted fuschia tone to it, whilst Pink Kashmir is more lavender-ish.  Does that help? I hope so.  The bottom line is that if you love pinks, get both.  Trust me.  I'm loving the colors and consistency. $24

Wickedly Wonderful Amala Hydrate Treatment Oil Takes On The Sun in Turks & Caicos...And Wins!

AMALA HYDRATE TREATMENT OIL

If you've been reading my Facebook posts, you'll see that I've just returned from a week in Turks & Caicos.  The water is amazing, weather was fantastic, but that sun!  Oy, that sun! It could've really, really fried me if I wasn't prepared, but prepared I was.  The majority of my suitcase was filled with my organic/natural skincare and makeup...love it!

One of the products that I brought for this trip was Amala Hydrate Treatment Oil and I am so glad that I did.  Aside from a few samples from their line that I received from Spirit Beauty Lounge, I hadn't seriously tried Amala as of yet and because of this, I made sure to bring my old favorites...just in case.   But because this oil was so fantastic, I found that I never even went near my old standbys.  I'm a big fan now.

How did I use it?  I applied this each night after washing my face and first thing in the morning (I don't like to wash my face in the morning - there's no need and it's better for your skin).  I had no peeling, no dry skin, no breakouts, just hydrated, dewy skin.  I love this.  On the second to last day, whilst chatting with my roomie, I saw her skin was peeling and I suggested she try a few drops.  Needless to say, she asked me on the plane ride home for the name of the oil.  This stuff is pure and it works.  I've been doing some reading up on the company and everything I read is ultra-positive and all of their products are of 100% natural origin...gotta love it!

I really look forward to trying out some of their other products as everything looks great.   $116
