Australian Scent's Balm Of Gilead is the Bomb! Bye, Bye Heat Rash & Eczema!

A few weeks ago I bought Australian Scent's Balm of Gilead.  The container is pretty big so I thought to myself, "No way am I going to be able to finish this, no matter what I end up using it for."  Well, I finally figured out what I was going to use it for and, let me tell you, it's going fast.

In the Summer I usually get a little heat rash.  Heat rash causes patches of red skin where either a shirt strap or bra has been up against your skin when you've perspired.  I've also gotten it from sitting on a hot chair in the sun.  I tried a lot of things to get rid of it, like powder and aloe vera, but nothing worked until I decided to give that balm sitting in the fridge a shot.  I'm so glad I did.

That evening I put a little of the balm on the affected areas before bed and when I awoke in the morning, everything was perfectly clear...I mean, completely clear.  It's rare that I find a product that produces such great results so quickly.

From what I understand (and can totally tell) this balm must have a ton of uses.  It has amazing all-natural ingredients, feels and smells fantastic.  From their website:
Formulated to hydrate and smooth the complexion, whilst balancing the skins' texture. With the high vitamin E content of wheat germ oil and the conditioning and scar healing properties of almond oil and shea, this delightful moisturizer is a nutrient reservoir for your skin. Balm of Gilead has produced beautiful results for oily, combination and dry skins. High in essential fatty acids, known for their antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects, it is particularly suitable for sufferers of acne, eczema, psoriasis and rosacia.
I have also used their soaps and they are heavenly!  I haven't tried all of their products, but I can guess that the quality is great as the products I have tried are stellar.  So, check out Australian Scent and let me know if you love it.

*I purchased this product myself and all opinions are mine.

  1. I have been using this product and am over the moon for it! I was using all this anti-aging junk and it broke me out. After a week of use the balm I cleared up and haven't strayed from it. I put on a tad extra, but I take about 3 minutes to massage it on my face and neck. Result=Great even skin tone.
Do you have to put it in the refridgerator?

    1. HI ,
It's designed to sit a room temp so it doesn't need to be refrigerated.
It will only melt if left in a car during the summer. I keep one in my handbag all year round. Enjoy

    1. Hi,

Our biggest followers are sufferers of Eczema and Psoriasis. It's usually the Balm that they go for and the Cleansing Stream seems to be a hit as well. The evening primrose (in the cleanser) is a really great skin balancer and neutralizes oil and dry spots.
We also have clients with acneic skin that abandoned proactive and now swear by it. Good luck with it!

    2. I picked up a jar of Balm of Gilead during a trip to NYC's Chelsea market October 2011, it's only just getting low now and I've been using it every night on my face, neck, and hands. It's totally cleared up my eczema that I used to have around my eyes and on my cheeks, and I haven't had a breakout in months! This is truly a miracle blam and I will continue to buy it until my dying day. I would reccommend this to everyone with sensitive, reactive skin or any sufferers of eczema. Honestly, this is a miracle!

  3. Anonymous - I think a balm kept in the fridge is a good idea. I prefer it the balm feel over the oil feel, so I would recommend it. Also, it feels nice applying a somewhat chill balm. In the summer months, you're going to have some melting issues.

Figwittage: I really hope it works for you. I was really impressed with how it cleared it up overnight. Now, granted, I'll have to re-apply when the rash comes back, but that's no problem. Let me know if you buy and try...I'd love to hear if it worked for you.
