...And The Kitchen Sink is a Natural Cleaner That Does EVERYTHANG! Oh, And You Can Win It!

I don't usually write many posts on environmentally-friendly home products mainly due to the fact that I'm most often asked to review natural skincare and makeup.  So it's a lot of fun for me, especially considering that I'm a Virgo who is constantly cleaning her NYC "compartment" (as I like to call it).   So, trying out something pure and natural to clean with is right up my alley.  Cassandra Iams of ...And The Kitchen Sink, has created this eco-friendly and fun cleaner after working in the eco-cleaning biz and not being impressed with what she was using.

Three things to love about...And The Kitchen Sink

1.  IT DOES WINDOWS & EVERYTHING ELSE!   Yep!  This cleaner will not only clean pretty much everything in your home, but it will also clean your WINDOWS!   Now you can literally go into your bathroom and spray your mirror, sink, shower...everything with one product.  Bonus: This cleaner can take the place of 12 products, saving lots of plastic and space.

2.  FUN SCENTS!  I'm such a sucker for scents and this cleaner comes in six fun ones. Currently, I'm using Fresh Lemon Mint.  It smells fresh and clean and it's not overpowering at all.  Note: if you get the Snack Pack, you can try all six!

  • Fresh Lemon Mint
  • Cedarwood, Rose & Lavender
  • Cucumber Melon
  • Sweet Basil & Citrus
  • Juniper, Fir Needle & Eucalyptus
  • Elevation Blend (Geranium, Juniper, Lavender & Tangerine)
3.  SAFE INGREDIENTS: Love, Water,White Vinegar, Soap, Borax, Hydrogen Peroxide, Essential Oils, Phthalate-free & nitro-free fragrance oils

4. REFILLS:  You can refill your spray bottle 11 times with the concentrated refill bottle to save money and plastic.

So, who is ...And The Kitchen Sink?

Cassandra Iams is the founder and creator of this super fun natural brand of cleanser.  In 2006, she was working for an eco-friendly housecleaning service and found the products to not only be really expensive, but she also found the ingredients to be sort of fishy with ingredients that weren't that effective.  So, she created her own.

  2. It's the bathroom, absolutely. My husband isn't totally disgusting, but he is a man and the floor around the toilet is just the WORST! That is what I dread the most!

  3. I detest all of it - from the Kitty box to my teenage Daughter's bathroom and everything in between!!!! But, maybe if I had a fun scented cleaner like ...And The Kitchen Sink Cleaner in Cucumber Melon I would love it! Margaret Barnes

  4. I'm lucky husband is neat in the bathroom. The 2 things I detest though when cleaning is wet hair in the bathtub/drain-I will not touch it, I refuse-mind you I am sure it's my daughters and mine. Also will not touch wet food in sink. The both of them repulse and gag meeven with gloves still can't touch.

  8. The worst thing for me to clean is my desk. I do it once a week, on my days off from work. Once I clear off the basic clutter of paper, get the dirty coffee cups down to the kitchen, and unglue the keyboard from the desk top from all the coffee I have spilled, then I am stuck with just the desk top. Without all the junk, I can see every coffee ring, ink mark from leaky pens, the time I had a falling out with a black Sharpie, that smoothie I spilled, the broken lipstick, the spilled mineral eyeshadow (I thought lime green was MY color, until I saw it on the tan work surface of my desk. I may have to rethink that) as well as the leaky perfume oil bottle (my God, when I wear it do I smell like that?!) and the cookie I lost two weeks prior well, yeah. I hate cleaning my desk. I realize the importance of it, because my mouse really doesn't work all that well when I am dragging it through a strawberry/banana/flax seed/vanilla yogurt smoothie spill.

  10. I am loving all of these stories! You all have incredible senses of humor. I should share a couple of things about me- I have two dogs and four cats, so believe me when I say I am NO stranger to pet messes. Yuck! You can rest assured that "And The Kitchen Sink" is incredible for pet and boy messes and smells. It also doubles (triples? quadruples?) as a great laundry pre-treatment (does especially well on red wine- *hiccup*- and coffee). I even wash my car with it! The most unusual thing I've heard so far is this: a guy I know does Civil War re-enactment (yes, I hang with a strange crowd, lol). He uses it to clean his musket after every event. HIS MUSKET, people! "And the Kitchen Sink..." cleans everything, even muskets.
